This table is part of Charlap Hyman & Herrero’s ongoing exploration of hybrid furniture: objects that perform multiple intertwined or overlapping functions. Its irregular forms are tailored to the intersection of necessity and the expected flow of activity around/over them. Their chrome finish is a kind of architectural camouflage, reflecting the space around it and shining like glints of light on the ripples of water in a kidney-shaped pool.
